I have two, that's right, two birthday parties to attend today.

I love parties, but I fast during Lent and it makes party-going a bit of a challenge. About fifteen years ago, a spiritual adviser explained that a Lenten fast is meant as a spiritual journey, not an inconvenience for others. It's been a humbling journey to learn to balance my plans with the reality of living on a planet with billions of other people. Do you have balance in your life?
