It's An Introduction

OMG!™ What was the OMG!™ phenomena all about? How did it happen? I am as amazed as anyone else that it became such a popular thread on the BowieNet message boards.

It all started as a joke, of course. The first OMG!™ post was done by blammo during Roseland 2002, and then there was an OMG!™ post by piccadilly, then I posted one regularly.

This blog covers the run from October, 2002, until my final regular posting on February 26, 2003. A couple incidental posts followed, and the final was posted on November 9, 2003.

Who would ever imagine that a thread about weather, birthdays, vocabulary and song lyrics could evoke such passion?

What follows is each OMG!™ post that began the daily threads. None of the relpies are included, but sometimes there would be over a hundred replies.

I hope this blog can call forward some odd or happy memory for you.
