I was in a debate yesterday about crime and accomplices. It was rather dull in the end, but it is always an interesting question: If I am accompanying a perpertrator and I am present during the commission of a crime, am I just as guilty as the perpertrator? It is interesting to watch accomplices attempt to extricate themselves from culpability irrespective of the gravity of the crime.
